Youth Baseball Camp

From 10:00AM to 12:30PM

This camp is a great opportunity for your youth player to learn from some of the best players in Ocala in the 14-year-old age group. These players are at the top of their game and will represent Ocala in the 2014 World Series. Campers will learn the basic fundamental drills in hitting and fielding as well as positional instruction from the 14 year-old players that play the same positions. Age appropriate campers will also get pitching instruction from players and coaches. Camp coachers will also emphasize the values of being a good teammate, setting a positive example , and the importance of respecting the game of baseball. Into the Woods at GCP

The Gainesville Community Playhouse at the Vam York Theater invites everyone to journey Into the Woods on fantastic journey of discovery starting May 23.rnrnEveryone’s favorite storybook characters come together for a timeless yet relevant piece The story follows a Baker and his wife who wish to have a child, Cinderella who wishes to attend the King’s Festival, and Jack who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. rnPerformances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $16 for adults and $12 for students and seniors with ID. rnFor ticket information visit www.gcplayhouse.org or call 376-4949.
