Noises Off at hte Gainesville Community Playhouse

Gainesville, FL – Gainesville theater audiences can get a behind the scenes look, literally, of the production of a theatrical flop as Noises Off opens at the Gainesville Community Playhouse/Vam York Theater March 28. Called one of the funniest farces ever written, Noises Off presents a manic menagerie cast of actors rehearsing a flop called Nothing’s On. Doors slamming, backstage drama and missing plates of sardines all figure in the plot of this hilarious and classically comic play. This show, set in 3 acts, presents both the onstage and backstage antics of a true ensemble cast. The GCP’s performance is under the direction of Erin Kleim. Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $16 for adults and $12 for students and seniors with ID. Ticket sales begin March 29.
